Science, put

Learning resources, school workshops, water purification, and research into better treatment.
The Blue Workshops
High-school students at KC Gandhi School explored sustainability through practical modules, experiments, and interactive learning. The sessions build on the ideas in The Blue Book and the Blue Certification activity book.

Try it. Discuss it.
The lesson plans introduce the concepts. The activity book asks students to work with them: observing ecosystems, thinking about pollution, and considering how everyday choices affect water.
Topics include biodiversity, food chains, chemical runoff, algae blooms, and restoring healthy ponds.

Start with
a question.
What lives in a pond? How do chemicals enter water? What changes when one part of an ecosystem is disturbed?
The resources give students a way to investigate these questions through explanations, observations, and hands-on activities.

Practical support for safer drinking water.
The project’s water-access work includes raising funds and distributing water purification devices through KC Gandhi School, Kalyan West. The school was the beneficiary of the capital campaign and hosted the distribution.
These efforts sit alongside the education programme, connecting what students learn about water with access to it.

what enters our water.
Aarav’s research examines pollutants carried from roads into water by rain, including tyre-wear chemicals such as 6PPD-quinone.
Work with the Institute of Chemical Technology has explored a low-cost, solar-driven system for detecting and breaking down a model pollutant using recovered carbon black.
This is research into pollutant treatment. It is separate from the school’s drinking-water purification programme.
